Can you remember the last time there was good news?
Every day something you'd think would be unthinkable
Boiled frogs, dead cats, a whole deceased menagerie
They're scuttling the country they'll be scuttling away

It kind of makes you think the older lot meant well
Now we've got journalists in Whitehall because lying is a transferable skill
All the decent minds are sitting selling advertising
Leaving us with know-nothings whose parents couldn't love them

The op-ed cockheads, lapdogs and professional arseholes
Are preaching to the 4 in 10 vocational arseholes

They're out denying water's wet, not caring who believes
I'm trying to work out where they sit along the evil:thick continuum
Anyone who wants to really shouldn't be in charge
But then religion, art and politics shouldn't be career paths

It's all unwritten etiquette so nobody can stop you
If you don't believe in God and you don't care how you're remembered

Burn all the flags, because every flag's a red flag

Onward little culture soldiers, marching off to keyboard war
I'm grasping at the final straw: At least it's not America

I miss never really thinking about this
It almost makes you want to do something
